Carette Two-Tier Fairground Carousel Circa 1900

This carousel is in fantastic condition considering its well over a hundred years of age: the colours are remarkably well-preserved with all the composition figures still in situ. 

This finely hand-painted tinplate toy was originally designed to work in conjunction with a stationary steam engine, but also can be operated manually.
