Probably the most macabre toy ever made - The Isadora Duncan Bugatti, made by Hermanos Paya of Spain, and complete with the beautifully illustrated original box. This large 52 cms tinplate clockwork toy features the famous dancer Isadora Duncan being strangled by her own scarf when it got caught up in the rear wheel of her car in 1927. For a toy manufacturer to idolise the dancer in this dark manner is at best, remarkable. Also shown are scans of period press cuttings of this tragic accident.............
