Tin toy of a clown sitting on a cart and steering a donkey by the reins, was intended to cause merriment. The advertising stated, "A unique toy that gives indescribable delight to children. Donkey bucks and gallops forward and backward, clown makes frantic efforts" The big wheels are decorated with a merry clown scene, two figures holding each other by the legs and thus miming an acrobatic living wheel further emphasized by the turning wheel of the cart.
This playing EPL No. 425, was the only product of the Brandenburg factory with which the owner identified himself. Ernst Paul Lehmann saw himself as a balky mule, an obstinate man who was sometimes hard to deal with.
